Geolocation footage released on September 29 indicates that Russian troops have recently advanced west along Druzhba Street in central Toretsk. Russian troops continued offensive operations near Toretsk itself, south of the city in the Nelipivka area and west of Toretsk in the direction of Shcherbinivka on September 28 and 29.
ISW points out that geolocation images released on September 29 indicate that Russian troops have made a small advance near the railway line south of Selidovoy (southeast of Pokrovsk) and advanced into the southern part of Krasny Yar and probably captured the rest of the territory Krutoy Yar (both southeast of Pokrovsk and north of Novogrodivka). Russian news bloggers claimed on September 29 that Russian troops had advanced further south of Selidovoy and east and northwest of Tsukurino (southeast of Pokrovsk and Selidovoy), but ISW found no confirmation of these claims.

On September 22-23, the DeepState project reported on a series of successes of the Russian army in Donbas – in particular, the aggressor advanced deep into Toretsk, near New York, southeast of Toretsk. Judging from the map, the Defense Forces are fighting with the Russian army already in the center of Toretsk, and the storming of the city is supported from the south by the aggressor group in the area of the village of Zalizne.
Also, Russia is implementing its plan to seize Selidovoy – from the north and from the south of the city, the Russian troops wedged themselves into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The aggressor can try to encircle the city without entering it.
The Pokrovsky direction in Donetsk remains one of the hottest areas of the front. The largest number of combat clashes have been recorded there in recent months.
