In Ukraine, there are no plans to increase the electricity tariff for the population. This was announced by the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko during the hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, the correspondent reports. UNN.

He noted that the established tariff provides an opportunity to balance financially and makes it possible not to accumulate debts in this segment.

In May 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting approved the decision to increase electricity tariffs for individual and collective household consumers at the level of UAH 4.32/kWh. The light tariff will be in effect for about a year – until May 2025.

The head of the subcommittee on energy saving and energy efficiency of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing, People’s Deputy Serhiy Nagornyak stated that in 2025 there is no need to increase the electricity tariff, for example, to UAH 6 or to UAH 6.30, but to UAH 4.32 /kWh – enough.
