“Viktor Pinchuk’s Interpipe demonstrates new approaches to social responsibility. The company does not provide unified mass, but targeted assistance, and not only to employees, but also to military personnel, doctors, mobilized…”, — write: www.unian.ua
“The main thing that distinguishes Interpipe’s initiative from other similar ones is the support of people who are not currently employees, the thoughtful targeting and practicality of the gift,” said Lyudmila Novak, Interpipe’s director of communications.
The article states that Interpipe began helping mobilized workers in 2014.
Currently, the company has a full-fledged structural unit that is responsible for the systematic support of fighters at the front: it provides them with ammunition, equipment, medicines, and provides legal and psychological support. The headquarters team consists of five managers, each of whom has more than 200 wards, because in total more than 1,200 employees were mobilized in the company.
The headquarters takes care not only of mobilized employees and veterans, but also of family members of dead or missing soldiers. Today, 44 families with 58 children are under the care of Interpipe. Every year, children have the opportunity to rest for two weeks at a summer camp in the Carpathians, receive gifts for their birthdays, and a personal gift for Nicholas Day. Moreover, Interpipe has its own way of giving gifts.
“The director of one of our factories personally visited “his” families and presented gifts. This made an extraordinary impression on people. This approach is more valuable than any material values. It is important when people are not alone in a difficult situation. We at Interpipe do everything, so that our employees always feel protected,” Lyudmila Novak said.
Valeriy Reshetnyak, CEO of the job site robota.ua, believes that a socially responsible position of business has an unconditional effect on the loyalty of employees to the company, because it demonstrates not only humanism and concern for society, but also contributes to the formation of a strong corporate culture.
“When a company supports people who are not its direct employees, such as military personnel and their families, it not only improves the image of the business, but also becomes a motivating factor for potential candidates,” Valery Reshetniak told the publication.
Forbes notes that during a full-scale war, large enterprises became not only a source of economic support for the country, but also a reliable support for employees and their families. That is why social responsibility of business is so important.
