In Volyn, a deputy of the regional council was exposed, who transported the evidence abroad

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Office of the Prosecutor General, exposed the current deputy of the Volyn Regional Council Alexander Tivodar at the organization of schemes for evasion, who illegally transported more than 100 evasants.

As the investigation was established, the deputy provided the evasion of counterfeit documents. According to these papers, the mentioned military men were considered to be “volunteers” whom Volyn Ova was sent abroad for humanitarian aid.

Up to $ 5,000 from one client was taken for their “services”.

Details: According to the sources of the UP, it is about the deputy of the Volyn Regional Council from “For the future” of Alexander Tivodar.

According to the SBU, since 2022, the attackers have illegally transferred more than 100 evidence abroad.

Tivodar was reported suspected of the following articles of the Criminal Code:

• Part 2 of Art. 255 (participation in a criminal community or criminal organization);
• Part 4 of Art. 28, Part 1 of Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations);
• Part 4 of Art. 28, Part 3 of Art. 332 (illegal crossing of persons across the state border of Ukraine).

He faces imprisonment for up to 12 years with confiscation of property.

The Prosecutor General’s office added that the criminal group, in addition to it, included assistants of the Commercial Court of Rivne region, heads of charitable foundations and other persons. The former deputy chairman of the Volyn Ova, who is already in custody and the indictment against it, was governed by the criminal group.

Since August 2022, the suspects introduced the data of men to the “Path” system, which gave them the opportunity to cross the border without interruption.

According to the investigation, the cost of such service was about $ 5 thousand. From every person, money was transferred to the participants of the criminal organization through intermediaries.

On Thursday, a number of searches were conducted in the Volyn and Khmelnytsky regions at the place of residence and stay of the suspect.

Currently, the court has already approved the convictions of seven to the permanent participants of the criminal organization who have concluded agreements with prosecutors on the recognition of guilty, by providing revealing testimony to their accomplices.
