In Vinnytsia, law enforcement officers reported suspicion to a 16-year-old teenager who became one of the key participants in the brutal beating of a peer in the Sky Park shopping and entertainment center.

The incident took place on the evening of December 21, 2025 and gained considerable publicity due to the distribution of videos of the attack on social networks. According to the investigation, a group of youth aged 13 to 19 provoked a conflict with a 16-year-old boy, the reason for which was his appearance, in particular, the presence of makeup.
The attack took place in two stages: first, under threats, the victim was forced to go to the underground parking lot of the mall, where the crowd began to beat him, until a passer-by intervened in the situation. The witness helped the teenager to get outside, but the attackers did not stop – near the exit from the square, they caught up with the boy again, knocked him down and continued to hit him with hands and feet. As a result of the attack, the victim received a closed craniocerebral injury, concussion, numerous bruises on the head, face and limbs.
The police identified six active participants in the event (five boys and a girl), and as of December 23, the 16-year-old “leader” of the group was charged with a crime under Part 2 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism committed by a group of persons). This article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for up to five years or deprivation of liberty for up to four years. The prosecutor’s office is preparing a petition to the court to choose a preventive measure, and the role of other participants in the conflict is currently being carefully studied by the investigation to provide a final legal assessment of their actions.
