The company explained that the station stopped working due to a complete lack of electricity. Water supply has disappeared in all areas of the city without exception. “Due to a complete lack of electricity, the main water supply station of Vinnytsia stopped. The entire city is currently without water,” the water company said in a statement.
Later, the Vinnytsia City Council reported that the power supply had been restored. After that, utilities immediately started restarting the equipment. “As of now, the electricity supply has been restored. Voltage has been obtained and the restart of the main water supply station has started,” the city council reported in Telegram.
The water utility emphasizes that the system is being launched in stages. It takes time to stabilize the pressure and fill the networks, so water will appear gradually in different neighborhoods. According to preliminary forecasts, the full restoration of water supply in all parts of Vinnytsia will last at least 5-6 hours. Residents of the city are asked to treat the situation with understanding and follow the official messages of communal services.
Utility workers assure that they are working in an intensified mode in order to return a stable supply of water to Vinnytsia residents as soon as possible.
