Such a decision was adopted by the Vilnius City Council on November 27.

The publication reminded that refugees from Ukraine can use public transport for free from March 2022.

“Such a decision was made by the authorities of the capital after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, when tens of thousands of residents of this country arrived in Lithuania. Similar decisions were made by other large cities of Lithuania,” the publication added.

LRT also reported that the Lithuanian government allocated 5 million euros for the installation of solar power plants in Ukraine on November 27.

The equipment for solar power plants must be reliable and protected from cyberattacks, therefore it must be produced by EU countries, said the head of the development cooperation department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Rasa Kairiene.

“When choosing solar power plants, we must ensure the reliability of the equipment that will be installed and aspects of cyber security, so as not to create additional dependencies for Ukraine. Therefore, in the procurement process, we will try to include this requirement that the equipment must be of EU or European economy origin.” – she added.

Ukrainian refugees abroad – the latest newsAn earlier survey showed that about 65% of Ukrainians who left due to the invasion of the Russian Federation plan to stay in Berlin forever. In particular, the president of the State Administration for Refugees (LAF) Mark Seibert emphasized that this is noticeable due to the growing interest of Ukrainians in German language courses.

It was also reported that the Czech Republic is preparing for a new wave of Ukrainian refugees. The country believes that this is due to the fact that the situation in our country may worsen due to problems with housing, access to medicine and educational institutions in the winter period.
