On Friday, September 20, Ukraine will not use blackout schedules.

This is reported by Ukrenergo.

“On Friday, September 20, restriction measures are not predicted,” the message reads.

Energy experts ask to rationally use powerful electrical appliances in the evening hours of maximum consumption.

Video of the day

Earlier, in the report of the UN Monitoring Mission on Human Rights in Ukraine, it was reported that the shortage of electricity in Ukraine can lead to power outages in winter from four to 18 hours a day.

The situation in the energy system of Ukraine is the main thing

According to the Ministry of Energy, from October 2022 to September 2024, Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities were subjected to 1,024 Russian attacks.

On August 29, the then chairman of the NEC board Volodymyr Kudrytskyi of Ukrenergo stated that an apocalyptic scenario such as a blackout in winter will not be used. From the point of view of the Ukrenergo transport network, Ukraine is much better prepared for the winter of 2024-2025 than it was in 2022-2023.

At the same time, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said on September 10 that the coming winter could be the hardest.

In September, Politico wrote that winter could also be a turning point for Ukraine in the energy war, as key substations supplying Ukrainian nuclear power plants are under Russia’s sights.
