Since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the number of civil servants in Ukraine has decreased by 30 thousand, or almost 30%.
Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said this at a briefing on March 4. According to him, the government is constantly looking for where you can save and optimize the budget to use it more efficiently.
“There is constantly optimization of governing bodies, central executive bodies, ministries. During this period, we reduced the number of officials by almost 30%. That is, more than 30,000 reduced the number of government officials. This is an important element of the state budget savings over the last three years, ”he said.
The Prime Minister stressed that the government is “actively looking at the digitalization” of services, which allows to reduce the quantitative composition of bureaucrats and officials.
In Ukraine, official unemployment rates have declined even more in the last year and have fallen to a historical minimum, according to the State Employment Service.
We will remind, the National Bank of Ukraine predicted that in 2024 the unemployment rate will decrease to 14.2%. In 2025–2026, the agency forecasts will decrease by 10–12%.
