According to the minister, due to hostilities and forest fires, the greenhouse gas absorption potential of Ukrainian forests decreased by 1.7 million tons during the almost three years of the war.
In total, 3 million hectares of forests have already been destroyed due to the war. And the territory of Ukraine contaminated by explosive objects is 139,000 square meters. km is twice as much as the area of Azerbaijan.
The minister emphasized that Ukraine is actively working on reconstruction without waiting for the end of the war.
