On Thursday, January 8, emergency power outages were introduced in some regions of Ukraine, while hourly electricity supply restriction schedules will continue to be applied throughout the country.

By order of the dispatch center on January 8, hourly outage schedules for household consumers will be applied in all regions of Ukraine. In addition, capacity limitation schedules (CPA) will be in effect for industrial enterprises.
The main reason for the introduction of such measures in the company is the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities, which significantly damaged generation and networks.
Energy experts warn that the situation in the energy system may change.
Power outage schedule in Kyiv
Today in the capital, schedules of turning off the lights in the amount of several queues are being introduced.
- 1.1 turn – there will be no light from 09:30 to 13:30;
- 1.2 queue – there will be no light from 09:30 to 13:30 and from 20:00 to 23:30;
- 2.1 queue – there will be no light from 00:00 to 02:30, from 09:30 to 13:30 and from 20:00 to 22:00;
- 2.2 queue – there will be no light from 09:30 to 13:30 and from 20:00 to 22:00;
- 3.1 queue – there will be no light from 13:00 to 17:00 and from 23:30 to 24:00;
- 3.2 queue – there will be no light from 13:00 to 17:00;
- 4.1 queue – there will be no light from 02:30 to 06:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00;
- 4.2 queue – there will be no light from 13:00 to 17:00;
- 5.1 queue – there will be no light from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 16:30 to 20:30;
- 5.2 queue – there will be no light from 08:00 to 10:00 and from 16:30 to 20:30
- 6.1 queue – there will be no light from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 16:30 to 20:30;
- 6.2 queue – there will be no light from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 16:30 to 20:30.
We will remind that in Kryvyi Rih as of the evening of January 7, 2026, there is still a threat of critical power outages after a series of combined strikes by ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones.
In Ukraine, on January 8, power outage schedules for household consumers and capacity restrictions for industrial enterprises will be in effect.
