In Ukraine, a new large -scale importation scheme under the cover of humanitarian aid for the Armed Forces of cars, commercial goods, ammunition and even weapons that never got into the military was exposed. The total cost of the detected violations is over UAH 548 million.

The State Customs Service, together with the Ministry of Defense, revealed numerous facts of illegal importation into Ukraine and commercial goods.
The scheme of sale operated through the online platform of vehicles imported by a religious organization as a humanitarian assistance for the Armed Forces. So nearly 440 cars were brought to Ukraine, covering themselves with charity, and potential customs payments would amount to more than UAH 60 million.
In addition, it was possible to identify the head of the charitable organization, which, on the basis of permits issued by the National Police of Ukraine, carried out the import into Ukraine as humanitarian assistance of rifle hunting weapons and ammunition to it for the Armed Forces.
The audit has established the facts of the shortage of spare parts for weapons, optical sights, mufflers and 9,000 ammunition, as well as the lack of individual weapons to military units.
They also revealed the fact of import into Ukraine under the departure of humanitarian aid of helmets and bulletproof vests worth about 100 million UAH on the basis of counterfeit certificates of the end consumer. These goods were never transferred to the Armed Forces.
“In total, since the beginning of the martial law in Ukraine, customs drawn up 1339 protocols on violation of customs rules on humanitarian aid. In 708 cases, the recipients were military units, ”the message reads.
“The total cost of exposed offenses amounted to UAH 548.2 million. The court decisions imposed penalties and confiscated in the amount of UAH 325 million, ”the press service of the state duty reported.
Earlier in the Lviv region, the detectives of the Terunation of the Bureau of Economic Security reported suspicion to three citizens who organized an illegal scheme for the importation of cars into Ukraine.
