In Ukraine, a free training program for personal care assistants from the Center of Initiatives “Come back Alive” starts

Course created within the project “Ours here [дбають]” for the quality support of severely wounded veterans and veterans and people with disabilities. The training will start on October 14.

The program is primarily designed for relatives and trustees of veterans, and for medical workers of hospitals and hospitals working with veterans. At the same time, everyone who performs personal care and needs systematic knowledge can be presented.

The purpose of the initiative is to change the approach to personal care in Ukraine, to strengthen the dignity and quality of life of those who receive and who receives it, and to assert the profession of caregiver as responsible and in need of training.

The format provides 16 webinars, 4 online supervisions and 2 outlines in Lviv. The group provides 30 participants. Professor, certified nurse (Canada) Diana Slivka, veteran and veteran recovery psychotherapist Volodymyr Galashchuk, as well as a veteran, head of the veterans department of the Center of Initiatives Center “Conce the Living” Taras Kovalik.

Participants will receive systematic knowledge of personal care, practical hygiene skills, safe movement, food and first aid, learn how to keep the wards and work with documentation. The program will also help to develop communication and psychological support, including the self -regulation of the guardian. An important part is an offline practitioner accompanied by specialists and further participation in the professional community.
