“The number of people with acute intestinal infection after visiting the Shipit Waterfall in Transcarpathia has increased to 38, according to local medical institutions. Among patients, 28 people participated in an informal youth event in tents near the waterfall, 10 more were on excursions in the area, ”the department said.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the outbreak was the use of water from the waterfall of spikes for both drinking and for cooking. Medical observation and epidemiological investigation are ongoing, added to the Ministry of Health.
