Since October 2, 2025, mobile operators of Ukraine have blocked 59,071 numbers from which spam calls with intrusive advertising were received.
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov reported that this mechanism has already shown its effectiveness.
This decision is due to the need to protect users from unwanted communications, which became possible thanks to a new government regulation.
Users can complain about a spam number by contacting their telecommunications operator or by leaving a request on the website of the National Commission for the Regulation of Electronic Communications.
Operators have the right to block suspicious numbers if they receive unconnected calls or if they do not meet the criteria set by the regulator. Reducing the amount of spam will allow additional protection of subscribers’ personal data.
