Details: Michigan State Police reportedly had to shut down traffic in both directions southwest of Grand Rapids due to a massive traffic jam.

According to preliminary data, there are many injured as a result of the incident, but there are no fatalities. To evacuate drivers and passengers, buses were brought in to take people to the premises of a local school, where a first aid station was set up. Numerous evacuation services are working to eliminate the consequences of the disaster.
This accident was the result of a powerful winter storm that covered a large area of the United States. The National Weather Service has warned of extremely cold temperatures and even the possibility of winter storms in several states, starting as far north as Minnesota and as far south and east as Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.
