Scouts from the “Artan” division of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense talked about the conditions of service and mobilization in this division.
In particular, the post refers to the salary and financial support of special intelligence officers. “Salaries are calculated according to a separate tariff grid. It can reach 200 thousand. per month: depending on the tasks and duration of stay in the area of execution of the combat order. The unit also provides personnel with food, medical aid, ammunition and transport for the period of their stay in the area,” the post states.
At the same time, intelligence representatives emphasized that most positions in “Artan” are combat positions. Therefore, the unit created an effective system of rotations of the military, so that people could restore strength after completing tasks.
According to the officer of “Artan” with the call sign “Favorite”, in 2024 the unit increased many times. It was possible to significantly improve the system of intelligence support for the planning of operations.
“We compensate the load on the military with regular rotations: after each mission. This year, the unit has expanded significantly, additional positions of driver mechanics, medics, and engineers have appeared,” the unit’s page reports.
Separately, the special officers commented on the current topic regarding the possibility of transfers. As noted in the post, it is currently easier for civilians who wish to serve in the intelligence service to mobilize to “Artan” than to later look for ways to transfer to GUR from the ranks of the Armed Forces. The main difficulty lies in the different subordination of structures, so the procedure can be extremely long.

Less outdated theory, more practice. In particular, we borrowed some approaches from the Israel Defense Forces,” the message reads.
As reported, the soldiers of the special units of the GUR MOU “Artan” and “Shaman”, who were injured during the hostilities, took part in the marathon of the United States Marine Corps.
