Earlier, Baza and Shot Telegram channels reported that teenagers who introduced themselves as Roma and Anton were detained in Omsk. It is claimed that on the evening of September 21, they broke into the local airbase, where they threw a bottle with an incendiary mixture at a Mi-8 helicopter. According to preliminary information, the equipment was written off.
During the detention, the schoolchildren stated that they had received tasks via Telegram from allegedly Ukrainian curators who promised $20,000 for arson, but then disappeared and deleted the correspondence.
A similar incident occurred on September 11 in the city of Noyabrsk (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District). There, two 13- and 14-year-old schoolboys allegedly burned down the Mi-8 helicopter of the Utair airline company, also on assignment for a reward in the amount of five million rubles. Both were detained, a criminal case was opened.
According to reports, the suspects allegedly doused the helicopter with a combustible mixture, one of them threw a cigarette butt into a bottle from under it, after which an explosion occurred. The teenagers were able to escape from the airport area, but they were found after they sought medical attention due to the burns they received.
