In Russia, the Moscow City Court left a verdict by a pediatrician Nadiya Buyanova, which in November 2024 was sentenced to five and a half years in prison in the case of “fakes” about the Russian army, reported on May 5, the mediaon’s edition with reference to its correspondent from the courtroom. Buyanova participated in the meeting on the video communication from the pre -trial detention center.

At the request of the prosecutor, the court appealed to the sentence in closed mode “because of the threat to the safety of the participants of the process”. The defense party opposed such a decision, since the case against Buyanova was considered in the open mode, and his details were publicly promulgated.

About 20 people came to the court to support the doctor. After the announcement of Buyanov’s decision, they immediately turned off the sound, so she did not hear the words of the support group that she was resumed at work by court decision.

The criminal case against Nadiya Buyanova, who worked in one of the Moscow polyclinics, was initiated after the complaint of the visitor in February 2024. Anastasia Akinshina, who was 68 years old at the time, complained to a pediatrician, who was 68 years old at the time. She claimed that during the reception she told the doctor that her seven -year -old son was missing his dead father. In response, Akinshina said, Buyanova called her husband “the legitimate goal of Ukraine.” Buyanova herself claimed that she did not say that.
