“In Russia, a new criminal case was opened against Lev Shlosberg, deputy chairman of the Yabluko party, based on an article about military “fakes” due to a Telegram repost made in February 2022”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
On December 8, the maximum six-month term of house arrest for the politician in the case of “discrediting” the Russian army was due to expire. Shlosberg has pleaded not guilty. The hearing on the selection of a preventive measure in the new case is scheduled for December 5 in the Pskov City Court.
Earlier, two criminal cases were initiated against Shlosberg. On November 5, the court in Pskov sentenced him to 420 hours of compulsory labor in the case of failure to fulfill the duties of a “foreign agent”. The second case – about the repeated “discrediting” of the army – was related to the publication of a recording of a debate on the Odnoklassniki social network, where the politician called for an early ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
