The Russian military department reported that nine drones were shot down over the Krasnodar region, where two local residents were hospitalized with injuries. Seven private houses were damaged, and classes in schools and kindergartens were canceled until the unmanned security regime was lifted, said the head of Sloviansk District, Roman Siniagovskyi. The Red Army district also came under attack, two houses were damaged there.
At midnight, more than 200 houses in the Chertkovsky district of the Rostov region were left without electricity due to damage by drones to power line supports, and a fire broke out. No casualties have been reported. Governor Yuriy Slyusar claims that electricity was restored in the morning.
Another eight drones were recorded over the Astrakhan region, but nothing is known about the consequences so far.
Ukraine has stepped up drone attacks deep inside Russia, seeking to disable primarily oil refineries and pipelines, as well as paralyze Moscow’s biggest source of funding for the war in Ukraine.
Most of the attacks were confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stating that the Defense Forces of Ukraine “systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation forces, as well as at forcing the Russian Federation to stop armed aggression against Ukraine.”
