Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurinas Kaschyunas said during his visit to Kyiv that his country will soon deliver a new batch of military aid to Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania on Monday, November 5.
“Lithuania provides continuous support to Ukraine, and we have no intention of stopping. Last week, Ukraine received a batch of mortar mines, generators and other aid from Lithuania, and in the near future thermal imagers, drones and other equipment needed on the battlefield will be sent to Ukraine,” Kaschyunas emphasized.
The Minister of Defense of Lithuania also noted that next year his country will allocate another 10 million euros for the purchase of various types of drones for Ukraine from Lithuanian manufacturers.
In addition, next year, Lithuania also plans to allocate 30 million euros to support the Mine Action Coalition, will contribute to the continuation of the Czech ammunition initiative, and will also invest in Ukraine’s defense industry
On October 23, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that Lithuania will invest 10 million euros in the production of the Ukrainian Palyanitsa drone missile.
On October 16, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania reported on agreements with Ukraine regarding the construction of a plant for the production of new generation explosives, in particular RDX (hexane). The parties signed a memorandum of intent. Construction work should begin in 2025.
