After Ozerov entered the building, one of the drones discovered in the Floreşti area was placed in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Regarding Ozerov’s statement that Moldova should provide proof that the planes are Russian, Popshoy said during a November 26 press conference that “this statement was heard in Moscow and evidence was sent” the day before the drone crashed in Floresti.
“As we have already noted in previous notes of protest, Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are at risk when such incidents occur. Such incidents are unacceptable,” he said.
He was also asked whether protest notes were enough and whether other measures were needed.
“Given the experience of our neighboring states, which responded proportionately in similar situations, we are also calibrating our response taking into account the complex security situation we are experiencing,” he added.
Prehistory:
- In the morning of November 25, Romania and Moldova confirmed the facts of violation of their airspace.
- In Moldova, it was later specified that they recorded the flight of six UAVs, one of them “landed” on the roof of a building in a rural area.
