According to the special service, the man tried to set up an observation point in an abandoned garage near the main highway. Previously, he was the head of the security shift at a local plant and was recruited through Telegram channels.
The agent fixed the coordinates of checkpoints, bridges and other key objects, planning for the Russian Federation an online broadcast of the movement of military columns.
During the search, a smartphone with an anonymous chat was seized from the detainee, where he coordinated actions with a curator from the Russian Federation. He was informed of suspicion of treason. The detainee is in custody without bail, he faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Earlier, the Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained another FSB agent in Kharkiv. The enemy accomplice turned out to be a 19-year-old local resident, whose mother was exposed by the SBU in January for organizing a terrorist attack.
