The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Alexander Zaitnevich said this in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
At the moment, this initiative is under the stage of the bill, it is currently undergoing registration procedures and when it is registered, it will be possible to read it. The document shows the extension of the terms for the VLK by June 5.
This was also confirmed by the deputy head of the Presidential Office Irina Vereshchuk. According to her, the bill will discuss two important things.
“First, the term for the mandatory passage of the VLK continue for another four months, that is, postpone the last time to the beginning of June 2025. Secondly, the obligation to undergo VLK does not apply to limited persons under 25 years, ”she said.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrainians, who were recognized as limited by May 4, 2024, must undergo a second medical examination by February 4 this year. Otherwise, they will have the status “in the wanted” in the application “Reserve+”. At the same time, more than one million “restricted” have not yet gone through the VLK, because they were waiting for the call from territorial centers of equipment and social support (TCC and JV).
