A new training course “Tactical Medicine” appeared in the application “Army+”. Soldiers will learn to provide first aid on the battlefield and save the lives of brothers in critical situations
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The course will cover 11 modules and 29 lessons and contains basic but vital knowledge: from stopping bleeding and ensuring the patency of the respiratory tract to the preparation of the wounded for evacuation.
Key course topics:
- March algorithm and its use;
- stopping massive bleeding with various means (turnstiles, tamponade, pressure bandages);
- ensuring airway patency and help in chest injuries;
- control of blood circulation, shock and consciousness of the victim;
- help with burns, fractures, eye injuries and head;
- prevention of hypothermia;
- use of an individual first aid kit and Pill Pack;
- Preparation for evacuation and information transmission to doctors.
Each module contains short video tutorials with a demonstration of practical approaches, and after each module is completed, checking tasks are provided. At the end of the course there will be a final test. Successful testing will allow servicemen to obtain an electronic certificate.
The course is conducted by instructors in tactical medicine of the 4th separate medical battalion.
