“86 795 babies were born in half a year. It can be noted that the fertility in the war stabilized – because it is almost the same as in the corresponding period last year. Then 87 655 young citizens came to the world in the first half of the year, ”the message reads.
However, in general, the situation is disappointing: in ten years, the birth rate decreased by 2.2 times. If in 2016, on average, 32,000 babies were born a month, this year – only 14 thousand.
It is noted that they are most born in the capital, and most often die in Dnipropetrovsk. 9,947 or 12% of the total number of newborns appeared in Kiev. The Lviv region is inherited from 8 282 (10%) babies. Closes the top three Dnipropetrovsk region – 6 670 (8%).
In some regions of the country, despite the war, there is even a slight birth rate. Kyiv region is leading – +6%per year, in Lviv region – +5%, in Volyn – +6%. In general, a small increase is observed in seven regions of the country.
At the same time, there are fewer children close to the front line. In Donetsk, the birth rate decreased almost twice (-47%), in Kherson region-by 11%and in Chernihiv-by 10%.
Traditionally, the most boys are born – 51%.
At the same time, 249 002 people died in the first half of the year in Ukraine. During the year the situation has almost not changed. Currently, the newborn has three dead. This figure is unchanged for the last 5 years. Thus, the population of the country decreases by more than 300 thousand annually. The comparison, in 2016, one baby had two deaths.
Every ninth person in Ukraine dies in Dnipropetrovsk – 27 120 dead, it is a consistently largest indicator in Ukraine. Among the anti -leaders of Kyiv with 18 114 deaths and Kharkiv region – 17 694 dead.
