The situation escalated near the official entrance, at the intersection of the Zubalashvili and Chichinadze streets. Demonstrators threw various objects at the police – bottles, firecrackers, eggs, balls with paint, colored smoke. The security forces returned all this to the crowd, accompanied by obscene gestures.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia claims that demonstrators threw “unidentified objects” at the police, as a result of which one police officer was injured.

For several minutes, the demonstrators were called to disperse through loudspeakers. Security forces have already used a water cannon. The situation periodically worsens. At least one injured demonstrator is reported.

Below in Rustaveli, the action is taking place calmly. Near Freedom Square, special forces and water cannons were also brought to readiness.
