In Sumy Oblast, a Russian drone fell on the territory of a critical infrastructure facility, the regional military administration said in a statement.

“Today, January 13, a Russian drone crashed on the territory of a critical infrastructure object of the Putivl community. 185 settlements in the Konotop and Sumy districts remained without energy supply,” says the OVA.

Previously, according to local authorities, no one was injured. As reported in OVA, emergency and recovery works are currently underway.

It is noted that the objects of critical infrastructure and life support switched to backup power.

Earlier, the regional authorities reported a fire on the territory of a children’s health center in the Sumy community as a result of a Russian attack.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
