According to the Ministry of Social Protection, regional payments for military personnel who received disability, injury, contusion, illness or injury were canceled from December 11, 2024.
The authorities plan to transfer money to support the participants of the invasion and their families: increased compensation for solid fuel, as well as treatment and rehabilitation. In the region, there are already compensations for fuel for war participants, for housing and communal services – for veterans of hostilities.
It was previously reported that the participants in the war in Ukraine from Transbaikalia receive 500,000 rubles each from the regional budget. In 2022–2023, more than 300 residents of the region received them.
In 2024, the Russian government approved a resolution on a new procedure for one-time payments to servicemen for injuries, including those received in the war against Ukraine. According to the document, the amount of payments will now depend on the severity of the injury.
If previously for any injury a soldier received a one-time payment of three million rubles, now for serious injuries they will pay 4 million rubles, for light ones – 1 million rubles.
