Details: According to the publication, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, signed the law allowing the use of reservists for such purposes not only in wartime, but also in peacetime, on November 4. However, the formation of special forces of reservists began even before the entry into force of the relevant amendments to the legislation.
The authorities of the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation were among the first to announce the creation of the BARS-47 detachment, designed to repel UAV attacks and sabotage, at the end of October.
Also, a recruitment of reservists for the protection of various critical facilities (oil, fuel and energy, petrochemical complexes, etc.) was opened in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Nizhny Novgorod region. Important refineries and factories in these regions have been repeatedly attacked by drones.

Now, as part of the new law on reservists, additional units are planned to be formed in the Bryansk and Kursk regions, which will operate together with the existing units.
It is reported that reservists sign a standard contract stating that they will be deployed only within their region.
However, in the border regions, the reservists will not be limited to the protection of the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex and protection from UAVs, and will also have to fight against subversive and intelligence groups, help with the evacuation of the population and support the “mode of counter-terrorist operation”.
