“Due to wind gusts of 25-30 m/s observed during the last day, a number of emergency shutdowns were recorded in Prykarpattia. In particular, as a result of the storm, 5 settlements were partially de-energized and 8 – completely on 6-10 kV lines,” Prykarpattiaoblenergo reports.
According to their information, “the most shutdowns are in Rohatynska, Kosivska, Yaremchanska and Horodenkivska communities.”
It is noted that as a result of bad weather, trees were felled, electric poles were broken, and power lines were severed. Energy workers are already working on restoring the electricity supply.
As of December 17, the Ivano-Frankivsk region is under a storm warning for wind gusts of 15-20 m/s.
