The executive committee of the Poltava City Council decided to significantly improve the state of military accounting in the regional center by involving administrative institutions in identifying evaders.
This was reported by the publications “Suspilne Poltava” and “Content”.
According to the new order of January 9, 2026, a special commission will be created in the city to monitor state bodies and enterprises, and a mechanism will be introduced to identify violators of mobilization rules when they apply for state services. Now, in case of detection of persons who are wanted for violation of military registration, employees of TsNAPs and other institutions will call the police to detain and forcibly deliver such citizens to the territorial recruitment center.
Roman Istomin, the spokesman of the Poltava regional TCC and joint venture, confirmed that the city is currently unable to fully fulfill its mobilization tasks, so the military is doing everything possible to reduce the shortage of personnel in the Defense Forces of Ukraine. In addition to inspections at service centers, the commission will carry out a thorough audit of lists of conscripts at private and communal enterprises. The main goal of these measures is to ensure the timely updating of personal data of citizens and their verification with the TCC registers in the conditions of prolonged Russian aggression.
The introduction of such tough measures in Poltava is taking place against the background of a nationwide debate on improving mobilization processes and strengthening responsibility for violations of defense legislation. Unlike previous periods, when the involvement of civilian institutions in military registration was formal, the current cooperation between city authorities and the military aims to create a closed system of control over the movement and applications of conscripts. The authorities assure that such steps are forced and necessary to maintain the country’s defense capability under constant pressure from the Russian Federation.
Mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov explained that the amount of garbage in the city has increased due to evaders who hide from the TCC and order courier delivery, as well as due to immigrants. According to him, these factors significantly worsened the situation with garbage in the city.
Employees of TCC and JV are indignant actions of Ukrainians who do not want to join the ranks of the Armed Forces.
