Detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security exposed two officials of the Poltava City Council for embezzlement of budget funds during the purchase of drones for the military. The investigation established that at the end of December 2023, the director of the Department for Civil Protection and Defense Work together with his subordinate purchased quadcopters for military units for almost UAH 39 million. As stated in the message, the BEB discovered an artificial overestimation of the price of the product by UAH 5 million. Advertising: Two officials and the head of the quadcopter supplier company were charged with committing crimes provided for in part. 2 Art. 364 (abuse of power or official position) and Part 1 of Art. 366 (official forgery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
