According to “Suspilne Poltava”, as of the morning of November 9, almost 150 lifts are not working in the city.
ZHEO No. 2 confirmed that after emergency shutdowns caused by the Russian attack, part of the elevators in the regional center completely stopped. Local residents have been noticing disruptions since November 8 — in some lifts, the motors even burned out due to voltage drops.
Utilities report that among the malfunctioning ones are approximately 120 elevators that broke down due to technical damage, and the rest are cases where people got stuck inside.
Repair crews plan to begin restoring the elevators from November 10.
