Details: According to the Bloomberg agency, a group of European countries led by Great Britain and Germany are discussing plans for the possibility of deploying a European military contingent, ships and aircraft on the island.

According to journalists, discussions about sending troops are aimed at convincing US President Donald Trump that Europe is capable of controlling the situation in the region.
Commenting on the situation, the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense said that European contingents will not be sent to Greenland in the near future.
Direct speech of Kosinyak-Kamisha: “Of course, according to international law, and we will stand guard over it, Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. It is under the Danish protectorate, and this should be taken so seriously. Denmark is our ally in NATO and the United States is our ally in NATO. I would not like it to somehow come to a conflict between the allies.”
Details: According to him, the United States should reach an understanding with Denmark through dialogue.

- On Friday, January 9, during a meeting on the future of Venezuela’s oil sector, US President Donald Trump statedthat America will get Greenland “for better or for worse.”
- White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt confirmedthat the administration is “considering all options,” including the use of military force, to “protect U.S. interests.”
- Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen called the situation “a fateful moment” and warned that an attempt to seize the ally’s territory by force would mean “the end of NATO.”
- At the same time, the US Congress registered a draft law on annexation of Greenland and giving it the status of an American state.
