Details: The collection was launched approximately on January 15 under the name “Heat from Poland for Kyiv”, with a target amount of 2 million zlotys. The authors of the initiative called for support for the collection, as the night temperatures in the Ukrainian capital reach -17, and at this time most of the residents of Kyiv are without electricity or heating, or both.

The collection was jointly launched by several public organizations and initiatives, including Euromaidan-Warsaw, Democracy Foundation, Sestry.eu, Open Dialogue Foundation, PRB Foundation, Entrepreneurs Help initiative.
In the three days since the opening of the fundraiser, about 8,860 people made contributions, the amount of donations crossed the mark of 1 million zlotys.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Vasyl Bodnar shared the collection on his page and thanked those who organized it and made their contribution.
“Huge thanks and sincere gratitude to all Poles who supported the collection for Kyiv. In the current difficult situation, this help is extremely important and will really save lives. We thank all the people and organizations involved in the collection for their solidarity, responsibility and true partnership,” the ambassador wrote.
