In the Rivne region in Ostroh, city council deputies voted for the release of Mayor Yuri Yagodka. He was accused of listening to Russian songs and images of residents of the city.
This was reported after the meeting on the Instagram page of the Ostroh City Council.
25 deputies voted in favor of the release of the berries, another refrain from, and 8 – did not participate in the vote.
The official reason for this decision was that the former mayor did not perform his duties provided for by law, did not control the activities of structural units and utilities.
Berry violated the laws of Ukraine and the rights and freedoms of citizens.
Article 8 of the Law “On Service in Local Self -Government Bodies”, which deputies referred to their decision, provides “respectful attitude towards citizens and their appeals to local self -government bodies, caring for a high level of culture, communication and behavior, authority of bodies and officials of local municipality”. At the same time, the mayor of Ostroh was repeatedly accused of images of local residents, and one local women complained to the police because of berry beating.
The incident happened on August 29, 2024, on the day of commemoration of the dead defenders. Then the mayor allegedly sang Russian songs in the library, and when the woman made his remark, he struck her.
Recall that recently the court continued the night’s arrest of the mayor of Netishin Alexander Suprunyuk. The official is suspected of negligence during the purchase of drones.
In December 2024, the court elected a preventive measure to the mayor of Netishin Khmelnytsky region Alexander Suprunyuk, who is suspected of negligence, which led to losses in the amount of UAH 6.1 million during the purchase of drones.
