According to the investigation, the executor of the order was a 31-year-old resident of the Odessa region, who was recruited through telegrams for the search for “light money”.
Initially, the man was set a test task, and he had to set fire to a military car, and later the agent received instructions on organizing an attempt.
In particular, the suspect had to pick up a homemade explosive device (SVP) from a pre -prepared hiding place and put it on the place of residence of the military.
The SBU staff exposed the enemy intentions in advance and gradually documented the actions of the attacker.
The task of the agent was to lay explosives with fragmentary elements of the defeat at the playground in one of the residential areas of Odessa. Russian intelligence services planned to activate the SVP remotely with the help of a mobile phone that was equipped with an explosion.
SBU operatives detained the attacker immediately after he laid the explosive device on the planned terrorist attack. The detainee was reported suspected of attempted terrorist act on a prior conspiracy by a group of persons) and intentional destruction of property by arson by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a special period, committed by a group of persons.
