“In occupied Sudak, Russian security forces detained Crimean journalist and political scientist Lenora Dulber after a morning search of her house. Human rights activists call the incident another manifestation of increased repression against the Crimean Tatar people”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
According to Zudiyeva’s report, the search took place by order of the Kyiv District Court under the control of the Russian Federation.
As Refat Chubarov added, Dulber was taken to the FSB headquarters in Crimea and Sevastopol. In his opinion, such actions of the Russian security forces indicate “intensification of repression and pressure on the Crimean Tatar people.”
“Another invasion and search in occupied Crimea, this time directed against a well-known researcher and journalist, testify to the further strengthening of repression and pressure on the Crimean Tatar people with the aim of suppressing their will and pushing the Crimean Tatars out of their native Crimea,” wrote Chubarov.
As “Crimean Solidarity” writes, during the search, in which about 20 armed persons participated, the attention of the Russian security forces was drawn to Lenore Dulber’s educational records. They also searched her phone and took away her computer.
In connection with what Dulber was searched and detained, it is not reported. There are currently no official comments from the Russian security forces.
Lenora Dulber is a political scientist, sociologist, journalist and Crimean Tatar activist. Hosts the popular talk show “Merkez”, co-authored the monograph sociological study “Crimean Tatars in the conditions of transformation of the political space”.
