Petro Andryushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, told about this on the Suspilny broadcast
“On the territory of this combine there is one of the largest repair bases that exists in the Azov region (these are the Mariupol-Berdyan and Novoazov agglomerations)… Therefore, it is no longer up to date (technique – ed.) as before in Novoazovsk or on the territory of the Rostov region, but began to repair directly on the territory of Mariupol. And that’s why we see what this number is: several units drop by every day. Both tracked and wheeled machinery,” said Petro Andryushchenko.
At the same time, according to him, there is no increase in the number of Russian troops in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, but on the contrary, their decrease.
“The Russians currently do not have enough new contract workers to fill all the camps (from Mariupol to Berdyansk) by 100%. I am referring to those camps that serve to train units that leave for replenishment, rotations, etc. Currently, these camps are filled with new contract workers for about 70%, and for 30% – those who are assigned to rotation from the front line. This is the first time, because before that the camps were filled to 100%, and those allocated for rotation were located either in the north of the Mariupol district or on the territory of the Ilyich plant. Now the trend is different, and this means that the Russians do not have time to replenish their manpower in accordance with the losses they are suffering,” Petro Andryushchenko summarized.
As ArmiyaInform wrote, in June 2024 the first enemy tanker entered the port of Mariupol since the Russian occupation, probably to provide fuel for military equipment and equipment on the front lines.
