It is noted that as of the evening, more than 50 fires were recorded in the region, which covered the territory of more than 400 hectares. There are three fires in Nikolaev.
“There are now three large -scale fires in the city, where the fire has come to the residential sector through the gusty wind. In the Ternovka residential district, where the estimated area is 10 hectares, the flames have managed to damage 2 residential buildings and 3 outbuildings, ”the message reads.
The SES emphasized that firefighters take all measures, but a strong gusty wind adds difficulties in extinguishing. Reserve guards are involved to eliminate fires, and water supply equipment is also involved.
“The firefighters of local fire guards assist, local enterprises are facilitated in the provision of special equipment and waterways,” the SES added.
It should be noted that in addition to fires due to natural phenomena, fires are regularly occurring at different points in Ukraine due to Russian shelling.
