The court session regarding the extension of the preventive measure for Vyacheslav Zinchenko began at 15:05. Even before the start, some of those present started chanting: “Freedom to Vyacheslav Zinchenko.” Some of them were wearing t-shirts: “For Vyacheslav Zinchenko” and “Zinchenko is innocent.”
On September 19, the court extended Zinchenko’s detention without bail until November 17.

On July 19, an unknown person opened fire on linguist and professor of Lviv Polytechnic Iryna Farion. A woman with a severe head injury was taken to the hospital, but despite the efforts of the medics, she died.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced that on July 25, an 18-year-old boy was detained in Dnipro, who is suspected of being involved in the murder of Iryna Farion.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko noted that the law enforcement officers have enough evidence to claim that it was this detainee who shot the linguist. The investigation lasted 139 hours.
