In Lviv region, quarantine was introduced through African swine fever

In Lviv region near the village of Sukhovichi in the Pidberztsi community, corpses of six wild boars, which died from the African swine plague (ASF), were found. The anti-epizootic commission at the Lviv RDA has decided to impose quarantine restrictions in 3 and 10 kilometers around the site of infection.

“In these areas regular checks of domestic animals will be carried out in order to identify possible cases of disease. In case of detection of symptoms of the disease in domestic pigs, additional response measures will be taken, ”the administration said.

The carcasses of wild boars are disposed of to reduce the risk of further spread of the virus.

Earlier in Cherkasy and Poltava regions pigs were discovered, affected by the virus of the African plague. There is no vaccine from it.

The death of the bird from the bird flu virus was recorded in the Novo Odessa district of the Nikolaev area. Almost 1000 chickens have already been destroyed to stop the disease.
