On the “Mana balss” portal, the collection of signatures for restriction or prohibition of the activity of the “X” platform has been started. The author of the Guido initiative, Oscar Grava, draws attention to the growing amount of misinformation being spread on this platform.
Grava calls on Latvians and authorities to assess whether “X” is in the interests of Latvia as a social network.
He believes that the country should set an example for other EU states in introducing restrictions to ensure a better digital environment where information is verified by people.
