In Latvia, 65% of residents experience stress because of war in Ukraine

Details: The study has shown that the level of stress in Ukraine in general has not changed since 2023, when 64.8% of respondents experienced stress in Ukraine.

The tangible level of stress is relatively high on the general background, the study is noted.

Research has shown that 39.3% of respondents are satisfied with life, 8.3% evaluate their lives as bad or very bad, and 25.9% as satisfactory.

Without leaning in the positive nor the negative, respondents generally neutrally evaluate the work and participation in the events that occur in Latvia, indicated in the study. 36.3% of respondents were considered satisfactory last year, and 34.5% in the 2023 study.

For their part, 47.4% of the 2024 responded and 43.6% – 2023 were satisfactory participation in Latvia events. The study was conducted in October-November 2024.

During the study, 2005 Latvia residents aged 18 to 74 were interviewed. The survey was conducted by Berg Research.

Another survey earlier showed that 61.7% of Latvia residents agree that Ukraine needs to support its victory in the war with Russia.

In addition, 71% of Latvian residents consider Russia the main threat to European security.
