The Kyiv City Council will pay up to 1.5 million UAH in addition to the 2 million UAH provided by the state per person, during the purchase and installation of prostheses for defenders of Ukraine.
This was announced by the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Maryna Honda.
“The Kyiv City Council has earmarked 45 million hryvnias for the co-financing of prosthetic and orthopedic products with increased functionality. Defenders and defenders will no longer be limited by the funds allocated by the state for prosthetics, because Kyiv will additionally pay for the production of prostheses that have high functionality and comfort.
Yes, the maximum cost paid by the state is up to 2 million hryvnias, Kyiv will pay an additional up to 1.5 million hryvnias per person,” Honda said, as quoted by the KMDA press service on Thursday.
In addition, Kyiv partially will compensate conversion of cars for people with disabilities among defenders.
Kyiv has already been providing compensation in the amount of almost 500,000 hryvnias for the purchase of a car for this category of Kyiv residents. And in 2025, the capital will partially compensate for the conversion of an already existing car for the needs of a person with a disability – in the amount of up to 100 thousand hryvnias,” Marina Honda commented.
According to her, in 2025, it is planned to cover 100 people with disabilities of the I and II groups from among the residents of Kyiv. 10 million hryvnias have been allocated for this in the city budget.
