In the morning of September 18, a car driver was shot dead at a gas station in the Svyatoshyn district of Kyiv, the suspect in the murder was detained, the National Police reported. Verbatim press service: “The incident took place today (September 18 – editor’s note) in the morning at a gas station in the Sviatoshyn district. It is known that an unknown person approached the man’s car and fired a shot. The driver died of a gunshot wound at the scene, and the assailant fled.”

Details: A special police operation was launched on the territory of the city, as a result of which the special forces searched for and detained the suspect.

“He turned out to be a local resident, born in 1983,” the police said.

The investigative team continues to work at the scene. The perpetrator was detained, and law enforcement officers are currently talking to him.

Based on this fact, criminal proceedings were initiated under Part 2 of Art. 115 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code.
