In the center of Kyiv, near the “Universitet” metro station, activists independently put up markings imitating a pedestrian crossing with the inscription “Where is our crossing?” and a banner with a QR code to familiarize yourself with the project.
This is reported by Glavkom.
The overpass project won in the “Public Budget” of 2020, and the city allocated more than 400,000 hryvnias for its construction. However, the Kyiv Patrol Police Department still refuses to agree to the traffic organization scheme, expressing at least nine unfounded refusals.

October 28 on the president’s website a petition appeared with a call to unlock transition creation.
The author of the petition, Ivanna Maliy, emphasized that the lack of a transition creates difficulties for pedestrians: they have to climb 79 steps, which is equal to the height of a five-story building. The petition emphasizes the need to ensure barrier-free access for people with disabilities, wounded military personnel and civilians affected by Russian aggression.
The project is part of the barrier-free route of Kyiv, which is implemented within the framework of the first lady Olena Zelenska’s initiative “Barrier-free”.
