Law enforcement officers brought to justice the guard of an underground parking lot in the Dnipro district of the capital, who did not let people into a part of the shelter during the massive Russian shelling on the night of January 9.

Details: On the night of January 9, during the massive shelling of the capital by Russian troops, the guard of the underground parking lot, which is an object of civil protection, restricted the access of citizens to the premises where parked cars were located.

The violator explained his actions by the fact that this particular zone is not intended for shelter, and during an alarm, citizens should only stay at the site for driving in and turning around vehicles.

It is stated that the police promptly arrived at the scene and restored access to all premises of the protective structure.

In addition, according to the results of the inspection, the law enforcement officers filed an administrative file against the 61-year-old security guard under Art. 175-3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – violation of the requirements established by law regarding the maintenance and operation of the objects of the fund of protective structures of civil protection.

Literally: “The police emphasize: during an air raid alert, citizens’ access to shelters should be free and unhindered, because it is about preserving people’s lives and health.”

What preceded: On the night of January 9, Russia launched a massive combined strike against Ukraine. The main direction was the Kyiv region and the capital. As of Friday morning, four people died in the capital. Among them is an ambulance worker. Dozens of people were injured.
